Arsenic in chicken litter

CHED 812

Chad B. Seevers and John R Hardee.
Arsenic concentrations in chicken litter obtained from houses in different locations in Arkansas were measured by anodic stripping voltametry. Several samples were treated with sodium silicate solution to try to render arsenic water insoluble. Arsenic levels are also reported on soil samples obtained from a field in which litter was used as fertilizer for the past six years.
