De-inking is a major step in recycling paper. This study articulates around two parts: defining the best conditions for the de-inking of paper under ultrasounds and a study of the sonodegradation of the ink. Several reaction parameters have been studied. The effect of the parameter changes has been monitored by recording the ultraviolet/visible spectra of the solution after removal of the paper. In addition, the ink and its residues after sonication have been analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and the sonoremediation of ink has also been monitored by NMR spectroscopy.
